A little while back an exercise was started on the I.P.R.R. web site which soon floundered for lack of interest. Unfortunately this is the normal Path of change within the R.P.R.A. Many see the need for change, talk of change, ask for change some even make suggestions for change but fail to transfer thought into action and turn words into deeds. It is very easy to talk in abstract terms about “We should do this!” or “We shouldn't do that!” but at some stage you have to get to grips with detail. It is the detail which will reveal the flaws in any suggestion and it is attention to detail which will secure the success or failure of any idea.

With this in mind it is important that our Path of Change keeps detail to the fore throughout the process and in order to do that as ideas are proposed, debated and adopted they will be translate into  R.P.R.A. Rules. This process should immediately highlight areas of conflict and confusion and areas that need further work to make them viable.

The first suggestion which came out of the I.P.R.R. exercise was a fairly unanimous declaration that the R.P.R.A. required more positive and responsive leadership and this could best be obtained by dispensing with Regional bodies, whilst retaining regional boundaries, and have a directly elected Council. On that basis a first redraft of R.P.R.A. Rules was made for further examination, testing and suggestion. That redraft can be seen below and makes a starting point for the examination of ideas and detail.
The path of change. - Stage 1.
Whilst there will be internal discussion within RML International anybody visiting this site is invited to make contributions, comment or criticism directly through the Secretary. All such contributions will be reflected in any further discussion that takes place. Equally anybody who feels they want to be an  integral part of this process is welcome to join RML International and can obtain further details from the Secretary.
